Job Advertisement: Teacher for the Holiday School in Karlskrona

The Holiday School is aimed at students in grades 8 and 9, as well as introductory programs in high school who need to improve their grades in one or more subjects: Swedish, Swedish as a second language, mathematics, or English to qualify for applying to a program in high school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In 2026, holiday school will be offered during the Easter break in week 15 and during the summer from June 11-22.

During week 15, holiday school will be offered for grade 9 in the subjects of Swedish, mathematics, English, and SvA.

The holiday school during the summer will be offered for grades 8 and 9 in the subjects of Swedish, mathematics, English, and SvA.

The holiday school will be held at Lyckeby Knowledge Center in Karlskrona. You will be responsible for planning, implementation, and assessment. Teaching students at the holiday school means teaching in the morning and afternoon, from 08:30 to 14:30, and collaborating with your colleagues regarding students' education before and after teaching hours. Working hours and compensation according to Appendix M.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a certified teacher qualified to teach grades 7-9 or high school in the subjects of Swedish, Swedish as a second language, mathematics, and English.

It is an advantage if you have expertise in special education.

You are passionate about supporting students in their schoolwork and finding suitable adaptations based on the student's needs.

You motivate and encourage students to develop by analyzing situations, identifying solutions that overcome challenges, and creating conditions for the student to grow and believe in themselves.

You are attentive and communicative, which fosters good collaboration.

You have a good understanding of the curriculum and the documents that govern the school's operations.
